7 months old

Little Thomas is 7 months old today! yeah...he is 74 cm height, 10kg weight(big baby, isn't it?). He is getting bigger and bigger everyday. we are so exciting to see what he have changed everyday. 3 weeks ago , he just can unstably sit, but now he even quickly crawl everywhere( our small flat obviously can be fit for our new little crawler, so we have to start to look for a bigger house for him).

6 months

Yes, Thomas is 6 months old today. Still feel like he was born yesterday. In this 6 months, he growed from 3.88 kg/52 cm to 9.3 kg/72 cm. He travelled half way around the world to visit grandparents, even though he can't swim more than 1 meter.

In last month, Thomas got fever for 2 days right after his immusation injection. According to doctor, that's a normal body reacction. However, that makes whole family nervous. After the fever, we found Thomas can sit on his own. Yes, he can now.

Since it's the special day for Thomas, we took him out and take some photo of him and Michelle.

During the time in China, Thomas visited both grand parents' house. He spent 33 hours in airplane at total(amazing for a 4 months old). Grand parents love him so much and willing to keep them in China. In this 2 months, Thomas gained 2kg on weight. Now, he is 9.36kg and 72cm long.

This photo was taken at 1st June, which is the Childen's day in China. This is the first childen's day for Thomas.

Thomas got another three vaccination injections at his six weeks. When he was injected, he cried loudly, and we even can not open our eyes to look at his teared face ...oh, my poor boy!
Last Saturday, it's another shine day. our little Thomas with us visited his grand parents and grand grand parents in Taranga. when he was sitting on the car, he was really lively traveler, sleeping, looking outside the view of the window all the time. However, when he arrived in his grand grand parents house, he became a little bit naughty. In particular, he always likes being held in people's arms . when we tried to put him down, he started to cry again. his grand grand mum said it's spoiled boy! overall, our little Thomas perform well, so we reward him a 4 little stars :)

Thomas' old swimming pool was broken two weeks ago, and his Chinese grandparents posted a new one for him. he keeps swimming every two days. I think this is one of the main reasons why
Thomas is very strong baby and grow fast. now our little Thomas is 55 days old, and gains around 65 cm length and 6.3 kg weight. that's excellent!

BCG injection

Thursday(8th April, 2008), Thomas got his BCG injection. Since Michelle and I come from China which has high BT risk rate, it is good to have BCG injection for Thomas to help his immune system get stronger. Thomas was so brave, didn't cry during the injection.

Another thing we found that Thomas loves sitting in car.

First week

Yes, one weeks already. In first week, Thomas did really well. From crying all the time to sleep 2 hours between every feed. His cry start making sense to all of us. Last couple days, he didn't sleep all the time. Especially today, he stayed up for almost 2 hours.

Today, middle wife Claire came to do a body check for Thomas and weight him. He lost 0.08 kg in the first week. Everything is find, except those little red spots on his body. That's because we putted too much clothes on him. It's a bit too warm for him.

Over all, well done, Thomas. And well done for all of us.

Big smile

Little Thomas knows how to smile. Last couple days, we got a lot of visitors. Thomas gave all of them big smile face when the visitors said he is beautiful. However, he had never gave me a big smile until yesterday. After feed, I was cuddling him. Suddenly, he looked at me and a big smile. Awesome, that's the feeling you only got when you are a parent. Super happy!!!

Ok, blame on my photographing skill, this is the closest smiling photo I can get.

Bad Habit

Thomas starts having bad habit. He normally wake up when there is a pee. Then he is putted into feed. He falls into sleep with one side feed. The problem is he is doing a poo after that. So we need to change nappies again. After that, he gets another side feed. Finally, bed time for him. Thomas, that's bad habit. It is wasting nappies and making us tired. Any way, we had been told by middle wife. Baby won't remember their habit before 6 months. So we will deal with that later.

Settle down

Last night, Thomas behaved way better than last few nights. He starts sleeping for around 2 hours then get up for a feed and changing nappies. Unlike last few nights, he was very unsettled for sleep. He only slept for half hours then woke up want a feed. That made everybody really tired. Well, he got pass that finally. Great, we are still doing well.

Kiwi grandma visit

Lovely kiwi grandma came and visited for 3 days. Little Thomas slept really well on grandma. Also he gave grandma a very nice gift -- poo.

Home, sweet home

3 days after birth, Thomas finally got home from birth center. First of all, he looked at the water from the tap and the hot stove. It's a Chinese tradition for baby to look at water and fire in the new place to make them comfort in the new place. After that, baby is settled to his own cot. He must be tired from the road. He fall into sleep really quick.

First bath

One day after birth, Thomas had his first bath in RiverRidge birth center. Thomas seems very enjoy the bath. Photo will come soon.

Photo gallery is up (not yet)
