Thomas is walking

Thomas started walking now. Very exciting. He also knows the way to get out the house, now we keep all the doors lock. He is very into soccer, as you can find from the photo.

Hamilton Zoo Visit

Thomas, Dad and me went to the hamilton zoo at 29th. Since it's a week day, there is only us. We had great time in the zoo. Thomas loves those animals. Here are some photos.

11 months

Thomas is almost 1 year old. He settled down really quick in daycare. He likes to go to daycare now. Every morning, he points his finger to back door and his school bag which means it's time for him to go to daycare. Amanda, the daycare teacher, takes Thomas and another 3 kids out every morning. They mainly doing music and visiting other daycare. Thomas turns out love music the most. He will shake his body and sing with music. Thomas is having good times in daycare.

Thomas learned a lot new things in the past month. Except "mama", he can speak "papa", "ama"(grandma in my dialect) and "bye bye". According to Amanda, he also can speak "car" and "ball", but we haven't heard it. Thomas can stand for 30 seconds hand free now without any of help from us. He can claim down from the bed.

We can't wait for his first birthday. Unfortunately, dad is going to be far away on his first birthday. Sorry Thomas.

New Photos

10 Months

Thomas turn 10 months. Since the sickness of previous month, Thomas doesn't grow much this month. However, he seems to understand what others talking about, and developed a lot of thinking and gives reaction to others. He starts talking back to us in a language none of us would understand. He also shows a lot of emotions, like happy, angry. After we understood what he is trying to say, things getting much easier now. The hardest thing for us now is that Thomas crawls faster and faster, and his territories is expending from lounge and bedroom to the whole house.

Thomas is afraid of strangers. We think it's because we keep him inside for too long and lack of social activities. So we decide to get Thomas to go to day care. Thomas starts his first day in day care. It is a home based day care which is less than 5 minutes walk from our place. There are another 3 children. They all around 2 years old. For the first day, Thomas cried a bit in the beginning. We guess he scared because there is no familiar face around. After couple hours, Thomas started playing with others. Overall, that wasn't too bad for the first day and we think he is going to cry for another couple days.

9 month old

Little Thomas is 9 months old now! He didn't get too much changes except he got a little bit taller and skinny. the reason for this is poor Thomas got the diarrhea for nearly one month. The doctor diagnose his diarrhea as "Yesenia", and also little Thomas was suggested to be separate with other kids; therefore, poor Thomas had to spend his first Chrismas day and New year at home ( Thomas' parent was going to take him to visit his kiwi grandparents in Tauranga on Chrismas day).

8 months old

Little Thomas is 8 months old now! he is growing as a big baby, he is 10.5 kg weight, 78 cm height with 8 teeth. He not only likes crawling everywhere, but also tries standing by grasping the handrail. we are afraid that Thomas gonna strolling on the street on his own in the near future :). To give him more space to crawl or walk, we move from the old small flat to a new bigger house.
The new bigger house can't satisfy Thomas as well, it's not bigger enough for him. Our little Thomas plan to crawl out of door, however, Thomas' mum find his trick in time, and catch him back, it's cunning boy!
Thomas' dad bought a new pink scooter for him as Xmas' gift; however, little Thomas can't control it very well, and even he fell off from his new pink scoot, poor boy...Now the new scooter sometimes is just used for Thomas grinding his teeth, cos it seems that he will grow new teeth...
